Over 40 million Americans suffer from some form of sleep disorder and excessive snoring is often a symptom of Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA). Obstructive Sleep Apnea is the most common form of sleep-disordered breathing and affects an estimated 18 million people in the United States: 2% of middle-aged women and 4% of middle-aged men. Statistics show the vast majority of patients are undiagnosed.
If left untreated, OSA can have serious and potentially life-threatening complications, including heart disease, high blood pressure, stroke, depression, impaired cognitive performance and increased accident rates. Patients are normally referred for a sleep study by their physician to help diagnose a suspected sleep disorder.
If you suspect that you or someone you care about have sleep apnea, talk to your doctor or call us at (940) 663 - 2795 for more information. Our Sleep Lab is designed to ensure comfort and results.
